Interesting, informative and alarming. I didn’t understand what was meant by offers of “placements” for junior miners. What does that mean and why is that alarming? Forgive the ignorance.

Junior mining companies often need to raise money to fund their activities before a mine is in production and generating cashflow. They will raise money from funds and private investors and elsewhere, usually offering stock at slightly below market value in exchange for cash. This is called a ‘placement’. I was suggesting that this proliferation of placement opportunities may be a sign of a peaking market. It may also have been because it is Christmas and there was a rush to get transactions through in time …

Very informative. Mish is my main read everyday. I strongly suggest you subscribe to his mailing as he publishes much info that you won’t find on CNBC.

I’m going to listen to Marc Faber’s interview now. His view
‘The two worst investments are bonds and cash. I would accumulate equities on weakness.’

I have another prediction for 2010. Keyword: “FOODCRISIS”.
Think of what mr. Jim Rogers has said in the last years. He has banging that drum for a long time. He has said “buy agriculturals”. Keep your eyes on the Ukraine !

“Could”, “possibly”, “maybe”, various possible scenarios. Seems to be a lot of woolly minded, open-ended speculation but no real commitment to definite predictions.

Faber should be a billionaire by now…I read him for the last 20 years…but he is not a billionaire.
In less than 20 years I will be a billionaire. Listening to gurus….is the worst way to make money. Study a chart for 10,000 hours..one chart, one commodity, stock, ETF, currency etc. If will tell you all. Stay away from fundamental news ( stupid news), gurus, experts, money managers, and anybody working on a “street.” That is if you want make money. If you want to lose…go ahead and listen to these “educated” no nothing people.
The future is known to those who “believe.” You must put in the effort and then you get the “ephipahny.”
Example: The government of American is run by the super/uber rich. The President is a puppet and all bailouts are to bail out the super/uber rich. 9/11 was done not by SOME CAVE MAN…called La**n….but by the organization whose motto is “By way of deception.”
Once you understand ‘WHO” IS CONTROLLING America you begin to understand the game. its all a game. To make money you have to know the game and the rules..and be a rebel.
2010/2011…you think the world will end…..but it will not.
Jesus was a rebel…..and who did he rebel against. Unfortunately, all Americans are in bed with the people Jesus rebelled with…because THEY BELIEVE THEIR government, churches, etc. Read Reveal(lation) and it should be come clear…..especially the part about the “chosen” people.
You are broke because you do not get what Jesus was trying to tell you and the less religious you are it is easier to get it.
So go long the US index and short all till 2011. 2010 low till 2015/16 will bring great riches to those that believe in the Rebel…Jesus. And yes, its best if you are not religious as all religions on earth…All including the so called “chosen” one are apostate.
Happy New Year.

one more thing.
About “chosen” people and this applies to trading or making money.
The “chosen” people have brown skin to dark brown to black in the continuum of the true blood line. Jesus was brown, not WHITE as potrayed all over especially by the so called “chosen” on earth…..apostate.
So for trading purposes it means there are extremely “few” sources to know how to make money. You either find them out or you learn how to read a chart.
The 2 witnesses who are listening to Satan and his small flock of powerful people are Britain and the US. No wonder the masses are in desperation. Don’t turn to any religion, rabbi or priest…its apostate down here and that includes all the evangelists especially Hagee.
Deception………remember this in trading, news, life, politics, elections etc. Jesus the rebel…is your true source… Read Reveal(ation) about what Jesus says about the “chosen” people and who you most likely believe are the chosen….not.
2010 is the year to make $$$$ and do good. Stand up rise up and be a rebel in Jesus way. Once you do this it all opens up and becomes clear.
Best

Any views on how this has panned out a couple of weeks later?

Dominic
I am interested in trading some of the junior miners on the TSX Venture exchange but am struggling to find any suitable brokers? Do you have any recommendations? I use Selftrade which covers a number of those on AMEX but this does not provide trading support for some of the smaller juniors…
I would also offer this up to the other listeners!
Cheers GC

Some who listened to the podcast may be interested in a clearer explanation of my own views of why I think we are headed into a Depression.
I have just written a new article on this: The “Y-shaped” downturn - A Greater Depression? A more severe crisis is already “Baked in the Cake”
