  2. Socrates Says:

Frisby great as always. Hampton his usual best.

Now can we get Bonnie Lee Hill or Ruth Miller on?

    Hey Dominic,

For the past 2 or 3 years, I have been one of your faithful listeners from Southern California. Your broadcast is awesome, and I agree that you cover more topics than commodities (although, commodities is what got my attention in the first place). If you need help promoting your show, I would love to assist you, and I even have a new name for the show that I could bounce off you. Keep up the great work.

    Dominic,

Don’t worry about the listeners, when the dollar and pound begin their march towards the fiat graveyard, then you will have advertisers falling over themselves. I know that’s a little like fairy dust advice but I believe it. Anyway, these broadcasts have saved my financial life and has opened up a whole new way for me to understand complex problems.

The name’s the thing. After the first five minutes of intense thinking, the rest of it is just retracing your thoughts and in that spirit, I’ve come up with a few heath-robinson contraptions for names for the show.

After all the derision I’ve got from mates and colleagues, I’ve got used to the silent sniggers but perhaps we could use irony here (always deflatingly amusing)to make a point. ‘Gold Bug Radio’ has that intended effect, allowing insiders a little giggle to. The acronym holds up as well.

You could go monumental (or just mental) and go imperial with ‘King of Metals’. Of course both titles are exclusionary, given the wide arch of Commodity Watch but they are titles that look to a future land of gold and silver.

I have other more, sober ideas but you get the spin. Great show and production, leavened by your knowledge and humour.

Thanks Herschell and everyone else for your comments and ideas. They are much appreciated.

    Not entirely tongue-in-cheek…

This would be a sort-of-play on MoneyWeek (alternatively MoneyWeak?): How about “Strong Money, with Dominic Frisby”?

  8. Socrates Says:

A gem is to be found…..don’t bother promoting. People will not get it…they just don’t understand.

99% of the populace listens and watches stupid news….they will NEVER GET IT.

Check up Roosevelt quote….Nothing happens by chance…if it did..the state is in trouble…..

I know when each and every commodity will make a high now and for the next 100 years. I do not plan to broadcast myself, lest I become like the brilliant chap languishing in jail cuz he did want to tell the “lords” how he does it.

    Stay low…and be happy.

Stupid News and People go in hand and don’t bother trying to change it……

US Dollar/ INdex low in 2012 Yen high in 2011, CAD high in 2011 revist in 2013/2014.

    Coffee…..hihg ???

    Best.

  9. mc_fxtrader Says:

    Hi Folks !

Can anyone tell me who performed the song at the end of the interview ??

    Best regards

    Bernhard from Germany

    P.S. Awesome website !!

Very informative discussion. I feel that with all of the government intervention in the markets, high volatility is going to continue for some time, and it is going to be quite challenging to consistently make money. One area though that I do feel will continue to do relatively well is gold and gold mining companies, as the gold price has held up reasonably well, as discussed here: http://www.goldalert.com/stories/Forbes-Bernanke-Watch-Gold-Price.php

  11. Philadelphia Wedding Photographer Says:

@mc_fxtrader - The song is performed by Lyrics Born (titled, Changed My Mind)

I agree another great show as well.
